Within
Fraggle Rock lives a second species of small humanoid creatures, the
Doozers. Standing only 6 inches tall, Doozers are in a sense
anti-Fraggles. It is said that when a Doozer stops working and becomes
lazy they turn into a Fraggle. Their lives are dedicated to work
and industry. Doozers spend much of their time busily constructing all
manner of pointless scaffolding throughout Fraggle Rock. Doozers
build their constructions out of an edible candy-like substance
(manufactured from radishes) which is greatly enjoyed by Fraggles. This
is essentially the only interaction between Doozers and Fraggles;
Doozers spend most of their time building, and Fraggles spend much of
their time eating tasty Doozer buildings.
Doc is an inventor, and the only regular human character in Fraggle Rock. He lives with his dog, and best friend, Sprocket. Sprocket knows that the Fraggles live in the wall however is unable to get Doc to notice. Doc spends a lot of his time in his workshop, a refurbished old room which is directly connected to the caves of Fraggle Rock via a hole in the wall. As a human, Doc is considered one of the "silly creatures" by the Fraggles. In the final two episodes Doc meets the Fraggles and they become friends.

The Story and Characters:
Fraggles are small humanoid creatures, about 22 inches tall, that come in a wide variety of colors and have tails that bear a tuft of fur on the end. They live in a system of natural caves called "Fraggle Rock" that are filled with many different creatures and features. Fraggle Rock is a world all of it's own, which connects to both the "silly creature" world, and the world of the Gorgs. It's a portal to a fantasy world.
Fraggle Rock focuses on one group of Fraggles in particular; Gobo, Mokey, Red, Wembley, and Boober. They form a tight-knit group of friends, and each has a distinctive personality type. Gobo is the "leader", level-headed and practical, and considers himself chiefly an explorer. Mokey is highly spiritual and artistic, being quiet and contemplative. Red, on the other hand, is exuberant and athletic; she is one of the best swimmers among the Fraggles. She teaches a swimming class at the water hole for other Fraggles. Wembley is nervous and pathologically indecisive, though no coward when push comes to shove. He is called Wembly because of his ability to wemble (make siren noises). Boober's cardinal trait is depression and worry, and his favorite activity is washing socks. He seems to have a slight fear of germs as well. Ironically enough Fraggles do not wear socks.
Gorgs are the giant characters of Fraggle Rock. Though apparently there were other Gorgs at one point, the only ones shown are a family unit, consisting of Pa Gorg, Ma Gorg, and Junior Gorg. Other Gorgs, such as Ma's mother Queen Esmerelda and King Gorgus the Great, have been mentioned, but no others appeared on the series. Junior spends a lot of time trying to catch the Fraggles using traps he sets up in the garden. He is sometimes successful, however the clever Fraggles always manage to get away.
